Snowflake Integrations Now Support Key-Pair Authentication

Key-pair authentication is now supported across all Snowflake integrations in mParticle, including Warehouse Sync (inbound) and the Data Warehouse Forwarder (outbound). This industry-standard method enhances security and is better suited for automated, machine-to-machine data transfers.
The update aligns with Snowflake’s security changes, which will deprecate password-based authentication for service users later this year. To avoid disruptions, customers with existing Snowflake configurations should migrate to key-pair authentication by October 1, 2025.

Highlights:

  • Key Management Tool support for key-pair authentication across Snowflake integrations
  • Improved security and compliance with modern authentication standards
  • Future-proof compatibility ahead of Snowflake’s deprecation of password-based auth
